Did you know...

The first wreck on the Waupaca-Green Bay Railway occurred on Friday, May 13, 1910 when a train bound for Scandinavia collided with a loaded gravel car standing on the main track. Some passengers were bruised and the engine and gravel car sustained a total of $300 in damages.

Back in 1910 the Green Bay & Western used to rent box cars to hunting parties in Wisconsin.

The cars, spotted with bunks and stoves, were spotted on side tracks between Wisconsin Rapids and Merrillan.
