In 1944, the crossing in New London with the Chicago & North Western was a busy place. Here are the trains scheduled to pass through in a typical day:
Fourteen trains passed through New London on a typical day - six from the Green Bay Route and eight from the Chicago & North Western. The GB&W trains are from the May 14, 1944 timetable and the C&NW trains are from an April 1944 timetable.
All trains shown in the table were scheduled daily unless noted otherwise (x-Sunday means train was scheduled every day except Sunday, etc.). Thanks goes out to Scott Sasse for supplying this information. Odd-numbered trains were westbound on both railroads and even-numbered trains were eastbound.
