Locomotive portraits for sale from the collection of Harold K Vollrath.

Vollrath's collection of photographs of locomotives, steam, diesel, electric, interurban, equipment and structures are available covering railroads generally as they were in the 1940s through the end of steam in regular service plus some in later years. There are about 50,000 selections and they cover almost every steam type that operated on class 1 railroads, plus about 3,000 short line, industrial and old roads. There is also a modest selection of electric and traction lines as well as those of a few foreign countries.

For more information or to order, contact Harold K. Vollrath, 1000 West 97 Terrace, Kansas City, MO. 64114-3800

Prints are offered in two sizes: 5"x8", $3.00 each, and 8"x10", $4.00 each. Please add $3.00 per order shipping and handling if order is up to $50, or add $4.00 if order is over $50 (prices as of November 2001 - please contact Mr. Vollrath for current prices).  Individual railroad road lists are available at $1.00 per railroad along with a self addressed stamped envelope. There is a list of freight cars that is close to 40 pages, $5.00 including S&H for that list.
