The last new cabooses on the Green Bay Route were #608 and
#618, identical cars built in 1969.
These cars replaced the last wood cabooses on the railroad, and were
typically assigned to local trains on the New London Division.
These unique cars featured small bay windows, similar to all-weather
windows used on locomotives. This caboose was scrapped at
Norwood Yard on January 11-12, 1990.
