C-420 No. 323, built as Lehigh & Hudson River No. 27 in February
1966, works the industrial park in Howard on August 20, 1991.
No 323, along with RS-11 No. 309, was one of the most reliable
locomotives in GB&W's latter day fleet. No. 323 is now in active
service on the Louisville,
New Albany and Corydon Railroad.
One of the GBW's unique 200-214
pink covered hoppers (ex- Albert City Elevator, built by Pullman Standard)
is in tow. These cars kept their original paint scheme except for a gray
paint-out of the reporting marks and numbers.
