This 14" x 17" vintage map of Scandinavia shows the Green Bay & Western
main line running east-west along the southern edge of the village. The
tracks of the Iola & Northern sweep a broad arc around the mill pond on west
side of town on their way to Iola, 4.7 miles distant.
"This map is from the 1912 Plat Book of Waupaca County, published by the
Waupaca Abstract & Loan Company and the Kenyon Company, Map Makers, of Des
Moines, Iowa. If you look at the very bottom edge of the map the "G B
& W RR" line is shown, crossing the river and running roughly parallel
to Depot St. and the "I & N RR" line at the southeast corner of
the village limits."
