GBW 313, 312, and an RS unit idle away at Wisconsin Rapids.
Wisconsin Rapids was the division point on the Green Bay & Western.
Locomotives #312 and #313 are Alco Century C-424 units, the standard power
for trains #1 and #2, the cross-state fast freight. This photo, taken,
March 14, 1967, shows the units in their classic gray-and-red scheme of the
1960's.
Dick Hoekstra took this picture, and thanks goes out to Bob Schoneman for sharing this
photo from his collection. (Color correction was applied to the photo by Charles Tomashek.)
