All-steel reefer used by the Western Refrigerator Lines.
The Western Refrigerator Lines was a subsidiary of the Green Bay & Western that operated a fleet of refrigerator cars. Originally starting out with wooden cars in 1929,
many of the cars were replaced by
steel cars by the 1960s.
WRX 9436 is typical of about 40 similar cars on the roster from 1969 - 1983.
Unfortunately there are no good modeling matches for these unique cars. |
